Here's a breakdown of our experience.įraser Island's beauty: The island is truly stunning, with picturesque landscapes, crystal clear waters, and pristine sandy beaches. While the island itself was nothing short of breathtaking and our accommodation exceeded our expectations, the transportation aspect left much to be desired. I recently went on a weekend trip to Fraser Island with my girlfriend, organized by Sunrover Tours. I even paid the right amount but was charged an extra $26 for no reason. What a joke!!! Meanwhile we were dropped back at rainbow beach and then the tour guide said the rest were having lunch provided by them?!! Ok? Please don’t choose this tour. We were not told to bring snacks… my 10 year old was starving. The next day we were expecting lunch and by 2pm we had eaten nothing since breakfast that was provided by the tour group. Cups were not cleaned properly especially in Covid times. You need to wash up everything even the cooking stuff! Breakfast was fair, pancakes and toast. Pretty much the cheapest chicken schnitzel you can get from aldi and powdered mash. The showers and toilets were clean however, the tents were dirty and full of sand. At night we went to the camp at Dilli village. The tour sites were ok… stick standards sites. We stopped for lunch which was one tiny sandwich and there were two bottles of drink. We turned up at rainbow beach and were only made aware then that there were other people on the tour with us in this old cramped up old 4wd.

We were a party of 4 including a 10 year old.
